2020 and the pandemic may have changed a lot of things but it did not put a stop to the housing market. It is the low-interest rates that are creating a high demand in areas like Central Florida.
According to WESH 2, sales are up “more than 20% compared to this time last year.” If you’re not in the market to buy or sell consider refinancing.
“Average rates have fallen to 2.7%, almost half of what they were in 2018 at 4.9%.” So, what’s the draw to Central Florida? It’s more than just Disney. There are hidden gems, neighborhoods such as Thornton Park, College Park, and Winter Garden. The weather is an obvious selling point, but the mere fact that your “Staycation” equals theme parks galore makes it an obvious choice to choose Central Florida as your spot. It’s difficult o be bored when you live in Orlando. But, there’s more than just Orlando. According to MoneyINC, “Lake Weldona. Biz Journals says that this area is just south of downtown and that it is bordered by Briarcliff Drive, Mills Avenue, and Gore Street. The housing options in Lake Weldona are varied, and the rental costs and property prices are comparable to other neighborhoods in Central Florida.” Then there’s Winter Park. A suburban city in Orange County- liberal arts colleges (Rollins), museums, golf clubs, art galleries, great shopping, beaches and more. The public school system is fantastic to boot.
